Treat a lithium conversion as a vehicle integration project, not simply an exchange of battery boxes. Begin with the cart maker’s requirements and use a qualified integration team. This guide is a purchasing checklist, not wiring or installation instructions.
Survey the existing vehicles
Group the fleet by cart model, controller, charging equipment and current battery arrangement. Photograph labels and compartments and note previous modifications. Do not assume every vehicle in a mixed fleet accepts the same kit.
Define the scope of supply
Ask whether the proposal includes the pack, approved charger, mounting parts, display, wiring interfaces and documentation. Record responsibility for installation and commissioning. Request a clear list of items that must be retained, replaced or reviewed by the integrator.
Review support before deployment
Identify the technical contact, spare-part route and service documentation. Ask how the model and serial number will be traced after delivery, how software changes are controlled if relevant, and how replacement compatibility will be checked later.
Trial before scaling
Agree a representative vehicle trial and a written acceptance record. Cover the expected routes, loads and charging schedule without exceeding documented equipment limits. Resolve outstanding issues before standardising the configuration across a fleet.
Keep a handover file
Retain the final specification, drawing revision, approved charger details, installation record, operating guidance, warranty terms and service contacts. Link these records to the delivered model. Product photographs help identification but do not replace technical documents.
Can a conversion be approved from a product photograph?
No. A photograph does not establish electrical limits, mechanical fit, charger compatibility or compliance. Request a documented review against the actual vehicle.
Prepare a GOTION JTM enquiry
Send cart model, controller and charger details, compartment measurements, fleet quantity, destination and operating profile. Indicate whether you want a sample evaluation or a fleet proposal. Do not include personal or confidential information that is unnecessary for the initial review.
